Sure, you canât predict every workplace problem, but honestly, a lot of red flags are waving right in your face during the interview. Catching them early can save you so much stress and keep you from having to job-hunt again in three months.
If nobody in the interview can give you a straight answer about what your daily tasks are or who makes the decisions, thatâs a huge warning sign. If itâs chaotic now, imagine what itâs like working there.
Are they constantly rescheduling interviews with no apology? Is HR saying one thing while the manager says another? Thatâs exactly how they run their business. How they treat you as a candidate is how theyâll treat you as an employee.
If you ask about salary, why the last person left, or working hours, and they get defensive or dodge the questionârun. A decent employer might not be perfect, but they wonât hide the truth from you.
