J.d.o.o. (simple limited liability company) is a simplified form of business company in Croatia aimed at start-up entrepreneurs. Unlike a standard d.o.o., it requires much less capital.
A j.d.o.o. is a legal entity with limited liability: owners are liable for the company's obligations only up to the amount of capital contributed. It may have at most three members and one director. Registration is quick, often online via the START system.
Minimum 1 euro (or 10 kuna) — unlike a d.o.o. which requires €2,500. Part of the profit must be paid to the state budget until full capital of €2,500 is reached; full distribution of profit is not allowed until then.
Maximum three members. Suitable for fast registration (3–5 working days) and lower setup costs. Often used as a first step, with the option to upgrade to a standard d.o.o. later.
