A.D. (joint stock company) is the Serbian equivalent of a d.d. (joint stock company). It is suitable for larger businesses, stock exchange listing, or raising capital from multiple shareholders.
Shareholders have limited liability. An A.D. requires stricter regulation, a supervisory board, and mandatory audit of financial statements. Suitable for large-scale ventures, capital raising, or public share issuance.
In Serbia, the law sets a minimum share capital of 3,000,000 RSD (approximately €25,600). At least 25% must be paid in before registration. Corporate tax rate: 15%.
An A.D. is suitable when you plan a larger business, stock exchange listing, or many investors. For small and medium-sized businesses in Serbia, a d.o.o. is usually more practical. Serbia does not have j.d.o.o. — only d.o.o. and A.D.
